Federate Multiple Instances of InformaCast and InformaCast SEfor sending Regional Notification
Singlewire Software’s InformaCast Director application allows you to initiate and customize InformaCast and/or InformaCast SE broadcasts across multiple InformaCast and InformaCast SE installations on your network.
InformaCast Director provides additional resiliency by protecting against a single point for failure. By deploying multiple InformaCast and InformaCast SE servers across your network and managing them with InformaCast Director, you provide “regional” functionality, and if one server is experiencing issues, it will not affect the other servers and their ability to send broadcasts.
InformaCast Director is ideal for:
- Region-wide distribution of emergency notification across multiple jurisdictions, agencies, and organizations running InformaCast and/or InformaCast SE.
- Schools, retailers, and other organizations that need to send notification to regional or remotely deployed instances of InformaCast and/or InformaCast SE.
InformaCast Director works with InformaCast version 7.1+ and InformaCast SE version 1.3+.

InformaCast Director is a new application that enables you to federate multiple InformaCast and InformaCast SE servers, across disparate networks, to send regional notification.
Here's an example:
A local city government, county government, school district and hospital are all running InformaCast. A train derailment accident threatens the entire region and an emergency is declared. A public safety official logs into InformaCast Director, and either records and sends unique message with instructions or chooses and sends a pre-written and recorded notification. Each InformaCast server then sends the message to endpoints on their networks to get the word out.
