New in InformaCast version 8.1 we have the concept of nested recipient groups. in our grouping functionality. Little bit of a change from what you may have been used to before but one of the features that we now have is something called filter with recipient groups and what this does is take any of the existing recipient groups that you have in InformaCast and make them sub groups so let's say that you have an entire campus, an entire facility, and you want to have all those devices in one group for one one location instead of having multiple groups for those locations.
So it's an easy way to filter, it makes it easier for administrators to manage, yeah, so one of the common use cases for this, if you have a campus scenario, let's say, and you have your groups built by building and you want to group all of the west campus buildings into a west campus groups, you can do that, so the idea of having groups of groups really makes it very easy to stack those groups together for ongoing administration purposes, so now we can we have really 3 main ways to group, we can do it by individual recipients, we can filter and that grouping of groups and of course we still have the very tight, the tight integration with communications manager we can pull out all those different pieces from there or from LDAP, our active directory.
