Starting today, Singlewire and Advanced Network Devices will be demonstraing InformaCast and IP Speakers/Clocks at the School College and Building Expo
This week Singlewire Software and Advanced Network Devices will be attending the School College and Building Expo in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center. The three-day event showcases the latest industry trends and products for K-12 and higher education facilities.
Singlewire will be demonstrating the latest release of InformaCast 8.1, including the improved functionality around scheduled broadcasts for school bell scheduling and the new features around message confirmation. With InformaCast, K-12 schools have the ability to completely customize the sound played throughout the buildings to announce class change. Because a WAV file is used, the recorded sound can be anything from a traditional school bell ringing sound or tone to the voice of the principal. In higher education, InformaCast can be used as the one button to push for sending emergency communication to all speakers, IP phones, and digital displays on campus, in addition to posting the announcement on Facebook and Twitter, and sending SMS text messages and voicemail to subscribed mobile phones.
With IP speaker/clocks from Advanced Network Devices, schools have the flexibility of creating and setting paging zones throughout their schools. This enables an overhead page to be sent to an individual speaker in one classroom or to all speakers in all buildings throughout the entire campus. The combined speaker/clock/LED display provides schools the ability send a scrolling text message at the same time and overhead page is made.
The combined solution showcases how the InformaCast solution can be used for mass notification and emergency communications for schools and campuses of all sizes in addition to be used on a daily basis for simple announcements or to ring a passing bell.
This year's event is being held in combination with FETC.
